BESTIARIES
Each picture from this series depicts a notable literary or political figure from Russian history, including Prigov himself, in a new, bestial guise.
NEWSPAPERS (Газеты)
Each image is printed on a sheet of the newspaper, most often it was the party newspaper Pravda. The alphabet letters are flanked by the names of figures in Russian history and culture.
STIKHOGRAMМS (Стихограммы)
Prigov’s visual poems are produced on a typewriter and are composed of a word or phrase repeated to produce a graphic form.
INSTALLATIONS
Prigov produced many drawings and plans for installations, many of which were never realized.
